The three books of Longue Durée follow the crazy life of Louis Bautista. While serving as a delivery captain for a redhead widow, he receives a small package before the man is murdered in an alley on the island of St. Croix. The package was addressed to a research lab in Orlando, Florida where Louis becomes part owner of the age reversing drug that he now possesses.

Production of the drug made them both billionaires, and almost got them killed. The drug was expensive to produce, and only the elite wealthy could afford it. Politicians, investors, sports figures, and famous musicians, fought for a date for their treatment, while the rest of the world, suffer through existing illnesses, and die at their normal time.

In book II, Louis Bautista, became Louis Montgomery, and bought a home and residency on Nevis Island. Nevis is a sovereign island and becomes his sanctuary through all of the books. After the loss of his company, his best friend, and his American citizenship, he returns to Orlando, at much cost, and creates MRI, Montgomery Research Inc.

Louis is again a billionaire, CEO, a convict, and a scientific research leader. His by-product sales are rivaled only by QVC and Amazon. The original Longue Durée has never been recreated, for the public. Only Louis has the recipe.

In book III, Louis marries a religious girl. Louis has created his new life, and all of his products, with science. He feels even God used science. It was only a matter of figuring out how he did it.

Sandra, a preacher’s daughter, is constantly trying to correct Louis, but he fights a good fight, even creating life! Sandra and Louis eventually have a son, and a daughter, but the son is born dead, and brought back to life by more of Louis’s scientific research. With far reaching complications, his son will extend research far beyond his father and effect the world, and beyond. Even with Michael’s genius status, he still wants to… just be a teenager.

Then I created the atoms and elements to regenerate it. I sort of mapped an atomic cocktail, and let the machine create it inside the mouse carcass. Within twenty-four hours, the mouse was standing and breathing. In three days, they were as you see them, now.”

“Do you realize what you have done?”
“Yes, he does, Bethany. That’s why I brought you here.”
“What are these? Ohhhhhh!” Bethany stepped into a side room and looked at several containers of human organs, one hand, and a bearded man’s head.
“More tests,” said Martin, “reach into the liquid and squeeze the hand.” He elbowed me on the arm to watch.

“AAAAAHHHH! IT SQUEEZED ME BACK!” We laughed.
I threw her a towel, and she dried her hand.
“And what does the head do? Sing Beatles songs?”
She stroked her fingernail from the head’s chin up into the temple. His eyes suddenly opened, and he smiled, showing his grey teeth.“AAAAAAAHHHHH! AAAAHHH!”

I grabbed her. She was clearly upset. “DON’T TOUCH ME! AAAHH!” She pulled away from me.
Bethany rushed out to the loading dock, and I found her with her face against the concrete block wall.
“Should I take you back to MRI?”
“No way! You guys are breaking all the laws. Man, and God.”
“Yes, we are. What’s your decision?”
“Count me in.”

Louis had a condo in Uruguay. He also had a farm in Uruguay.

He went to an auction, of a government research facility, and bid on an entire room of equipment, that nobody else wanted. He won, and with much expense, took it all back to Orlando to his old partner’s laboratory. This is a cut from book III, of Longue Durée, Extending Life.

Martin walked around the array of parts and wires, analyzing all the ingredients.
“So, do you know what it is?” I asked, humbly.
“Got an idea, but I’m not sure, yet. Help me move this over there, and this over there.” He pointed.
We spent the next forty-eight hours plugging things in, reading directions, checking parts to internet specs and bolting things to the walls and floors with anchor bolts. The screen came on when we plugged in the regular wall current, but we had held back on turning on the switch to the little reactor.
“I suspect that there is an overthruster here someplace?” asked Doc.
“What does it look like?” I asked.
“It’s usually triangular, with a transducer module on each point. The signals mix and create a…….”
“I FOUND IT!”
“Yes, you did! Plug it into this cradle, and we should be ready to see what the big voltage does.” We were both excited like a couple kids with their daddy’s Playboy collection.
“WAIT!” yelled Martin.
“What?”“I don’t want to die in another lab explosion. Let’s go to the hardware store.”
We went down to Ace and bought a big roll of 10 ga. wire, and a big fused switch. We interfaced the wire into the switch of the reactor and basically bypassed it to the roll of wire. We unrolled it across the floor and out onto the loading dock. We connected the switch to the end, and now, we could turn the thing on from outside. We spent another hour checking our work, and then went out on the dock.
“You flip it.” Martin said.
“No, It’s your lab!”
“It’s your fuck’n reactor!”
“Okay, SHIT!” I reached down and picked up the box. With my right hand on the lever, I stepped behind the wall. I looked into Martin’s eyes and he gave me a big smile, like we were about to die in style. I flipped the switch.

We were set to go LIVE, and release this life enhancing product to the world. My advertising was set to go, and my sales staff was ready. I got an emergency call from Jennifer to come to the front desk, where I was served a stop order, on Longue Durée.

I rented every empty warehouse and refrigerated trailer in the industrial park, and filled them to capacity with Longue Durée. The staff worked around the clock.

We ignored the stop order, and Longue Durée went on TV, coast to coast. The orders came in so fast that the system kicked over to the automated order system. The bookkeeping department just sat back, and watched the numbers rolling. By 8pm, we were taking orders on product that had a future production date. At 8:15 Jennifer urgently called me to the front desk.

Two FBI agents pushed me out of the way and went to our computer room to pull our servers. Two other officers slammed me to the floor and handcuffed me, behind my back. Other officers marched out all of the employees, leaving their computers and notes where they were. I was rushed out of the office without my rights, and delivered to a holding cell, with no explanation or conversation.

XXL The next morning, Federal Auditors showed and had Judy in tears as they clawed for any illegal activity. I, simmered in jail for three days, and my plant had been vacated and locked down. At breakfast release, of day four, two guards grabbed my arms and marched me to a private room. I was given my personal effects and released to the exit room where Judy waited for me in a short dress and heels.

“You’re so bad.” I smiled.

(She started her car and drove slowly.) “I know.”

I had a phone call while you were inside. He said sorry for the delay, but you can’t buy TV News advertising like you just received, and you are welcome. Do you know a nutcase named Justin?”

“Yes, the richest man on the earth.”

I felt nothing as I smashed its life into a cream, and wiped it from the letters beneath it. I wondered if our Creator looks at us with as much affection. The exhaust fan and the bathroom lights went off. The door opened slowly, and a beautiful and fragrant Aisha emerged, ready to play.
“OH! Mrs. Montgomery?”

“Okay, everyone, get out of here. Work starts for the people in this room at ten, tomorrow. Thanks for staying late tonight.”
The building was vacated in the next sixty seconds. I went to my office and poured another rum and coke. I sat on the far end of my couch and pulled the handle on the recliner. My feet came up, and I relaxed for a few minutes.
There was a light tap on my door and it opened slowly.
“Louis?”
“Entré.” I answered.
Aisha came in wearing a short black dress, heels, and her shiny black hair down across her shoulders. She spun around, looked through the window in my door, and spun the handle that closed the louvers.
“Wow, I like the back of your dress.”
“You mean the lack of a back, on my dress?”
“Yes, that’s it.” I dropped my feet back to the floor. She dropped between my knees and we hugged each other. We kissed and then I lifted her to her feet.
“Wait, I need to freshen up.” She closed the door to my bathroom, and I heard the exhaust fan humming. I turned off the big ceiling lights and reduced the illumination to the lamp on my desk. I heard my door being rattled and bumped, and I wondered how Aisha got on the other side of the door. I rushed to the door and opened it.
“SANDRA!”
“Hi, Louis, why is your door locked?”
“What are you doing here? I thought you were at home with your mother?”
“No, I knew you were going to be working late, so mom brought me over here and dropped me off. I thought maybe I could help, and catch a ride back home with you.”
The exhaust fan and the bathroom lights went off. The door opened slowly, and a beautiful and fragrant Aisha emerged, ready to play.
“OH! Mrs. Montgomery?” Her face was showing guilt.
Sandra looked from Aisha to me, then she looked at her again, and looked at me. Without a word, she turned and left my office.
“I am so sorry, Louis.” Said Aisha.
“It’s not your fault. I wanted you, too. I guess I better go to her.”
“Yes, I will close your office. I am soooo sorry.”
I rushed from the office and through the now vacant security area. I went past Aisha’s desk and through the glass doors.

In the grass, halfway to my Jag, was Sandra. She was holding her stomach, in severe pain. I picked her up and put her in the car. She passed out as I fastened her seatbelt. I called Doc as I drove.
